Alexandra (Miss Alex) Cratin is excited to rejoin our nursery school community as the Lead 3-Year-Old Teacher. Previously at Mount Hebron Nursery School, she served as the Art Specialist from 2021-2024 and during the 2021-2022 school year, also worked as an Assistant Teacher in the 2-Year-Old program. During that time, she earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from Loyola University Maryland, becoming certified to teach Art from PreK through grade 12. After a year teaching high school art in HCPSS, Alex chose to return to early childhood education, where she finds the greatest joy in helping young children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. She is grateful to have found a role that allows her to do what she loves while also being more present for her own family. Outside of the classroom, Alex enjoys spending time with her two teenagers, Jenna and Zach, both of whom attended MHNS. She also enjoys being creative around the house and garden, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing anywhere with a water view.
